About this use case
If the portal names an exact megabyte cap, type that value in the KB/MB fields — presets are starting points, not hard locks.
Files stay in your browser: your résumé is not sent to our servers for conversion.
How to use
- Read the employer’s maximum upload size.
- Upload your CV or packet PDF.
- Match the target to the stated limit (2 MB here by default).
- Compress, download, and upload to the application form.
FAQ
- How do I compress PDF to 1MB?
- Use the 1 MB preset page linked under Related PDF sizes, or set 1 MB manually after opening this tool.
- Why can't some PDFs reach the target size?
- Multi-page portfolios with full-bleed photos need more bytes. Consider a slimmer sample or a slightly higher limit if the site allows it.
- Is my PDF stored?
- No server storage — processing happens locally.
- How does PDF compression work?
- Each page is rasterized and JPEG-compressed, then packed into a new PDF sized toward your goal.
- Will recruiters still see formatting?
- Layout is preserved visually, but text may no longer be selectable after aggressive compression. Keep a master PDF for your records.
